New additions to the Gymnastics library include archive photos of GB #Gymnasts #Lisa Mason and #Rhythmic gymnast #Debbie Southwick. The gallery will largely contain images scanned from transparencies taken before the launch of the Nikon D1.It is a project I have been looking to do for a long time.I have about 10,000 images both in colour and B&W waiting to be scanned and archived. The earliest photos date back to 1984. The first of the photos can be viewed and purchased at the following link http://bit.ly/f20DZA

Covered the Rhythmic Gymnastics National Championships at Stoke on Trent on the 10th July. The arena at Fenton Manor Sports Centre always provides a challenge. Typical meter readings are 500th second at F2 with a film speed of 2000 asa. The mat the gymnasts perform on is light in colour and this does help reflect some light from the overhead fluorescent lighting. This year with so many entries the Championships ran over three days. I drove down to Stoke on the Saturday and was able to photograph the Seniors,Juniors ,Age Groups and GMPD gymnasts.
The grace and artistry of these gymnasts is clear for all to see.
Francesca Jones from City of Birmingham celebrated a full sweep of five gold medals at this year’s British Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships at Fenton Manor Leisure Complex. She won her fourth British overall title with a total of 94.475 pts, 5.175 pts. ahead of Lynne Hutchison (City of Bath), 89.300, with Francesca Fox (also City of Bath) following closely in third place, 88.475.
Photos from these Championships can be viewed and purchased on line at http://www.f2images-gymnastics.co.uk
