Rugby League International England v France 13.6.10

I was looking forward to covering this match at the Leigh Sports Complex.It was the first chance to try out the Nikon 400 2.8 lens. I finally gave in and bought the lens last week. Hopefully it will prove to be a good investment especially for floodlit matches.It was good to use a the full frame body and have the reach of a 400 lens.

Back to the match itself,Sam Tomkins scored four first-half tries as England ran out comfortable winners against France in coach Steve McNamara’s first game in charge.It was a second international hat-trick for Tomkins, and equalled the England try-scoring record for a single match.England ran out winners 60-6.Some images fro the game below:
